to be fair i dont care about problems with other AVs
(the only problem i ever heard of is panda dont use encrypted definition files, thats all) ... and i never encountered any issue with panda vs other antivirus ...

i'm doing periodic tests of online AVs
and what i would like to know if there is anyone else with SP2 who got same problem or not ...

thats all ...

thanks

Doesn't Panda have a Users Forum? I'm sure you would get a better response there than on this forum. I know I personally have never used their online scanner. There are better ones available. IMHO

F-Secure is one of the top online scanners. Too bad Kaspersky supports only single file checking :'(

XP Pro, SP2, works fine without any problem here with Panda.
Could it be a problem caused by some settings on the systems?

Get rid of PANDA and IE6,download MOZILLA FIREFOX BROWSER,much better,no pop ups no problems,i dumped IE6 2 weeks ago as i was getting MALWARE and SPYWARE coming through and although SPYBOT was intercepting it and FIXING it ok,it kept coming back when i connected to IE6,since changing been no problems,as for PANDA a lot of people have had problems with it including myself.Use -SPYBOT 1.3,SPYWARE BLASTER,CW SHREDDER ,SPYGUARD,BHO DEMON,ADAWARE 6.0 181,KERIO PERSONAL FIREWALL,by the way these are all FREE PROGRAMS.

best regards

I've never used anything except and IE base Browser. I have no problems with adware or spyware and my homepage has never been hijacked. It's not the brower it's usually the person doing the browsing that causes the problem.

I think you have been more lucky! than anything,i am very careful what sites i visit and so are the many other people better informed than you and me,many people are leaving IE6, professionals too,as their are still so many bugs in it which allows it to be hijacked or spyware or malware to get through, even though i have a lot of anti-spyware and firewalls and antivirus software i still had a coolweb serch come through - it was detected and deleted,as soon as i changed browsers this alll stopped, maybe you only surf one or two sites all the time- many people use the internet! :o

deep purple,
Not to argue the point, but as some one retired, I spend almost all day on-line and no, I don't visit only a few sites. I also run pretty much the same protection as you and have no problems. You are ofcourse free to choose what ever browser and operating system you choose. There are however still some of us who enjoy our Windows Operating System.
I don't use IE per say. I use GreenBrowser but it's base on the IE platform just has a lot of extra bells and whistles.

deep purple , i'm using internet since it was avaiable in this country as just only gopher and telnet :)...

i use both IE (MyIE2,Maxthon,Avant,Netcaptor, what ever) and Mozilla, for testing purposes i go thru all software from time to time ...

also as hardware vendor i simple CAN'T leave IE6, as it's used by most of customers before they come to me. And not every of them wanna leave IE6 and use Mozilla or Opera.

IE6sp2 can be secure more if set correct and used correctly with correct tools and software around ...

I'm sure you know that mozilla and opera got also security holes ...

and i'm not going to trash Panda because theirs AV products are definitely better than some hyped "anyname" products ...

in variety is power ...
