Post by: vecchio on January 07, 2011, 07:14:36 PM
I yesterday wrote some comments about some unnecessary buttons(on the top of gui-)ff and back buttons
And also about confuse and unnecessary flash graphics
I asked for some GUI reformulation to v6
Without any relevant reason, my post was removed

Is it normal simpli deleted posts on this forum?

Nope.
I'm not aware of any removal, at least from my side.

Only spam and meaningless posts might be deleted. The only post I see for you Yesterday was/is http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=68927.msg579459#msg579459 (http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=68927.msg579459#msg579459). But I can remember the post relating to avast6 GUI.

So I don't know what forum you posted it in or if it was a topic you created or someone else created.

But posts aren't commonly deleted in the forums.

I have never used the fwd or back buttons in the GUI, but I wouldn't call them unnecessary as many do use them. It is just a case of personal preference and getting used to using them. It allows you to cycle through where you have been in the UI without having to reselect a Tab and then area you want, so it can speed up access to areas used frequently.

As for the graphics (flash or otherwise) it gives not just a snapshot as the shields interface gives but those in the stats can show history.

Vechhio, I do remember you posting. I think it was here. http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=68937.0
Doesn't show any of your post now though. I was thinking it was in this topic. Maybe I'm wrong though.

I never use the forward/back buttons. Doesn't bother me whether or not they are there. I like the information that the graphics provide.

Thing is, what suits one person doesn't suit another. Once you take away a feature then the complaints will start rolling in.

probably someone else than Igor deleted that; I saw the post, and it was a new thread actually, and whoever wiped it, he was right. Sign that sometimes someone here moderates ;D ... there's so much junk on the forums here, so why complain when a noob starts a thread to request a complete regression of the interface and this thread gets deleted? where's the clap emoticon  ??? 8)

edit: yeah there seem to be another thread on the same topic, but vecchio definitely started one of his own.

My 2 cents on the forward/backward buttons. If the forward and backward buttons on a mouse could control Avast as they can in windows and the web I would be all for it. The GUI buttons themselves are of little use to me.

Vechhio,  I see no reason for your thread/post to be removed.  You are entitled to your opinion same as other participants here, and stated it more respectfully than others that haven't had their posts removed.

Note that this doen't mean that I agree with you about the GUI changes, because I don't. :)
