can anyone know about cyberdefender antivirus? one of my friend download and load it to his computer.How effected it is?

Why are we advertising other antivirus programs on here ???
If you have a question about their AV why not ask them on their website ???

I'm pretty sure it's a rogue. The site is blocked by my HOSTS file, and I remember seeing it on a YouTube video by someone infecting themselves with the Vundo trojan. It installed itself after they were infected.

Not quite a rouge, imo, but I guess that depends on your definition.  It does not install without your permission that I have ever seen or heard, but definitely questionable program efficiency,  and a long standing bad reputation for their business practices.  I have a friend with a total brick of a PC after being on the phone with these "experts".

Long story short, stay far away from Cyber Defender
