Title: Boot scan automation
Post by: George Yves on January 17, 2011, 07:44:49 AM
In Russian sub-forum user chav asked about a possibility to automate boot scans (here's the translation of his post (http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=68902.msg582842#msg582842)):
Quote
Version 4.8 had the option to pass boot scans without requests what to to do with found viruses and files from system folders. But I can't find such an option in version 5. :( It is very inconvenient to start a boot scan in the evening, wait in vain for the first request, leave the computer to have a sleep, and in the morning to see that the scan stopped 5 minutes after you went to sleep.

Does version 5.x have such an option?

No, this option is not there on 5.1 version (again).
Vlk has posted that they were thinking on bringing it back, but it hasn't.
Pity...
