Title: Firewall popup problem
Post by: wonderwrench on January 30, 2011, 03:55:51 PM
I decided to set the firewall to show newly created block rules about the time 5.1.889 came out. Since then intermittently I get popups for programs that are already allowed in the application rules. This makes no sense to me because I should only be notified when a newly created block rule is made. Has anyone else seem this? If not is someone willing to enable this option for a few days and see if they can reproduce the problem? This was a clean install of AIS 5.1.889 BTW. See my sig for more details.

Yes, I used to see this quite often when I had AIS.

I also occasionally got a pop-up saying an application had been allowed to access the internet with no application listed (I think Logos may also have posted about this sometime). That worried me rather more.

Bump, anyone care to add to this? Maybe an Avast employee?

Amazing. I have never received any information from my firewall. I'm impressed.
