Gradually since I upgraded to Avast Pro, my Firefox and Chrome browsers have slowed down dramatically on start and navigating. My Chrome takes about 30 seconds just to load, and similarly for Firefox. Not suspecting my AV, I tried everything I know to correct the problem but couldn't. Then I remembered a thread some time ago where someone had a similar problem with the 5.1 Pro, so I went to another snapshot on my computer and uninstalled the Pro and installed the free copy. The browsers immediately began speeding up. Now my Chrome and Firefox load cold in about 16 seconds. That's not fast either, but my Dell is 6 years old with 1GB of RAM. I guess I'll have to continue using the free version and for go using the Pro even though I bought a 2 year license. I think the boys should get the problem fixed in the next software update, because I'm not alone with this problem. :'(

Yeah ive had that issue too in 5.1 avast ive had more issues than 5.0 also with false malware detection
