You dont mention what version of windows your using but i wouldn't bother with defender since your running MBAM PRO in realtime, it's just a waste of resources, and im not to sure if defense plus is really needed either

What iv already mentioned should be fine, can download yourself winpatrol as its light and monitors your host file and is good for giving detailed information about the programs you have running and numerus other uses and benifit's, i think it's under 1 meg download.

Here's a link to winpatrol http://www.winpatrol.com/upgrade.html and ccleaner and defraggler from piriform are good tools to have as well.

Please Go to PROFILE then Modify Profile then Forum Profile Information then select your country in Please select your country: then update your Signature: with information like my signature as this helps the helpers offer pertinent advice and you won't have to keep entering windows 7 ultimate when asked. ;)

Best to delet advanced system care, it's known to cause problems with avast and anything by iobit should not be give space on your hard drive as they are an untrustworthy company and thieving bastard's.

What problems does it cause with avast? ps, i know they are thieves so I don't need that breakdown.

I would not use Registry Mechanic as it could damage your registry.
Quote
the registry cleaner found in ccleaner is safer to use.

Your welcome, good move getting rid of ASC.
I also agree with kenny here that Registry Mechanic is pretty risky and ccleaner will do the job alot more safely.

Several people use Outpost firewall free:

The Pro version is more up to date:

Outpost is good, online armor is great with good hips and very easy to use, privatefirewall is also good with hips and probably the lightest firewall there is but to be honest with avast and MBAM running in realtime i would just stick with the windows firewall which in windows 7 is very good plus you have winpatrol to monitor your hips.
A good thing to do is disable remote assistance, control panel/system, click remote setting's on the left and then untick allow remote assistance.

Thanks Craigb, i believe you on your recommendation of avasr free, MBAM pro and windows firewall. Why? simply because it is in your signature.  ;)

;D ;) dont for get to modify your signiture after all these change's, you can disable defender too, not needed with all the other stuff and its just wasting resources.
