i installed avast 6.0.1000 today and webrep was working fine but suddenly it doesnt work on the google search.
-
Did you do a clean install or just an upgrade?
Some say that a clean install is needed if some features don't work. I'd give that a shot.
For me, I did clean installs on both of my home laptops, and will do the same for my desktop when I get a chance (haven't turned it on in a while).
Or, you could always try a simple reboot. It takes 2 reboots to get everything working after an install in my opinion.

i updated from the avast gui. a reboot didnt help.
maybe this is related? http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=72137.0

Yeah, I just saw that. I guess we should all just wait a little while and see if it starts working again.

it's not working now here in my sistem... webrep still no working

Just grey. :-\

Not working here.
There should definetly be some kind of indicator in the UI or the plugin to show that the fault is on the server side.
I bet a zillion people were installing / deinstalling the webrep thing a thousand times today, not knowing that it's a server problem...

webrep works here now :)

Works here also.

I'd disagree here. I mean, let's live on the premise that downtimes are rare. And I don't think it's a good idea to notify users or something in such a case - WebRep is not a mission-critical service (that would e.g. deserve a change from SECURED to something else) and having the markups gray (or not appearing at all) is a reasonable way to handle the situation...

You're welcome.

Still not working here (not with FF and not with IE8).
Is it still a server problem? Or is it my client installation?
When will it be working?
-
Well I don't know as the image I posted was no more than a minute before the post time and it was working for me.
Now avast have servers located in different countries, I don't know where the webrep servers might be located, but since we are both in Europe I would imagine we would be using the same one.
One thing for sure is that it has been very intermittent today, so it is entirely possible it could be server issues.

Not working here in Western Canada. Still grey. :-\

Now it works in Belarus. :)

Not working on Fx 3.6.13 in British Columbia.
