Title: Blocked Script issues
Post by: ^liquid^ on September 14, 2004, 01:30:17 AM
I have been using Avast now for over 6 months and I have had no problems what so ever, but yesterday I introduced a friend to this product abd she has had so many problems.

she uses win98.

It seems that everytime she uses yahoo, msn messenger, ICQ, IRC or visits Ebay she is getting 'Script blocked' and yet I run the same software and I do not get these errors.  She has found that her system as become unstable and the computer is crashing now.

Is there a known issue with win98?  Could there be or activity causing these problems?

Welcome to this board.

Is she using Avast home or pro?
Only pro has script blocking.
Please provide more info.
What version of Avast?
What vps version?
What are the specific settings of Avast that she s using?

Things like that. You can't expect to go to the doctor and say. "Yo doc, I am ill" and expect him to tell you what you have without providing more details ;D

As Eddy said, some more information would be useful. Additionally, what is the exact message? I don't think avast! ever says "Script blocked" (it rather displays the common "Virus found!" dialog).
