Post by: ds123 on March 15, 2011, 03:44:20 PM
How does the Safezone work, i usually use Internet Explorer browser and when i started Safezone it opened what looked like google chrome. Is it better than just using a secure website (https) can't they stop keyloggers?

Check the avast Help Center link in the avastUI, for more information.

The idea of the safezone is to create an isolated desktop that keyloggers, screen scrapers can't capture your data and everything is isolated inside this safezone.

The browser is based on Chromium, which Google's Chrome is also based, so it will look like it, but it is a special build for this purpose.

A https Website Means That It Has Been Verified By An Official Verifying Company But Key Loggers Can Still Get Your Information From These. The New Avast SafeZone Blocks Out The Key Loggers And Allows You To Browse And Enter Your Credit Card Information Without Anyone Knowing Any Of Your Information.

Hope This Helps!  ;)
