Hello,
I have been fed up with the problems of the Windows operating system and turned to Linux Ubuntu 10.10.Which avast! Linux Home Edition version should I install on it(RPM,DEB or TAR GZ package)?

As Far As I know about Ubuntu Linux is that you should download .DEB filetype for ubuntu I think..

TGZ is a gzipped tar archive, with install script inside, should work on all x86 Linuxes, and doesn't pollute the packaging mechanisnm of a partocular distro at all.

DEB is a debian/ubuntu package, RPM is a redhat/fedora/mandrake package.

OMG. The guy should get some grip of what package managers are used for. Installing stuff that PM is not aware of is bad, 'mkay?  ::)
