After a while, our Skin section (http://www.avast.com/eng/download/skins/index.html) has been updated. If you want to try something new, take a look at the latest addition... :)

Nice,but i somehow still prefer the default Blue panel. Don't know why,but its plain simple and effective. Also waiting for 4.5 skin :)

Technical - hit REFRESH button in your Internet Explorer few times. Clean cache and try again. Most likely your IE reads that page from the cache memory... clean it first and then try again...

Very nice set of skins. First time I have been there to look at them. Downloaded quite a few of them and put into a separate folder. :)

You've never downloaded skins!?! For me beauty is more important than functionality and Rezjor Sharp by Craftec is what keeps Avast! for me going :p

I've heard it from several people that they want all skins. Perhaps an idea to put them in a zip file and make that also available on that page.

Most likely, no one... avast! is getting so many bad reviews regarding those "gamey" skins, and I have to admit, I'm little bit tired of all those "funny" skins. avast! is antivirus, let's not go too far. I think everyone already have so many skins to choose from... LCARS, Bionic, RejZor Sharp, then some Martin's skins like Blue Panel, Re Cirlce, Petite Blue etc... all kinds of skins, something for everyone... I'm more into these "pro" looking skins these days, and I'm getting very good feedback from avast! users all around the world. That makes me very happy... on the other hand, maybe there is someone who is willing to spend his/her spare time to design something like that...

Still trying to finish my MacLoverOS X,but i simply can't. There was so many glitches and i didn't liked Sasha's menu style (but i'm still glad he helped me :) ). Argh why this skin creation cannot be easier grrr

I don't get it... My menu style ? I made something and you said I should make it different. When I finally changed it, I made it exactly like you said it should be... same as other avast! windows including main panel... where is the problem now ? :(

Hahaha, there you are... now, who made mistake ? Who ? Who ? Who ? I worked my butt off to fix all those little issues you asked me, and I think they are 100% fixed. I mean, skin behaves like any other skin made by me or Martin. I didn't find any single glitch... hey, not any single glitch... ;) :)
OK, I'll send you new version, latest one, IMHO - ready for publishing... that's why I asked you and Vlk 2 months ago, when will you finally publish it...
I'm also happy because you admited, it was your mistake, hihihi ;D ;D ;D
Another thing, I'm wondering - can you promise, next skin you make, you will name it by me ? ;D I named one of my best skins by your nick name, remember ? I would like to see something dedicated to me sometimes... is it possible ? ;D

I mean, I catch some spare time here and there, but if I wanna start with new skin, it takes a lot of self-sacrifice, and lot of time spent on designing, testing and checking... I hope you understand me.
Maybe, when all this madness around my work calms down a little bit, then I can think about it...

Yeah,but i'm not sure if it'll be ever released. I don't quiet understand the agreement of the author.

I'm not sure if those icons can be used at all for such things like my MacloverOS X skin. Grrrr damn i hate such problems :-\

which do not compete directly with FOOOD's Icons stock icon collections.
From what I read out of his disclosure, You have to pay a onetime royalty fee which gives you the right to incorporate the icons in your screen saver. It does not however give you the right to re-sell the icons.

The skin is freeware by itself and avast! also offers free version that uses these free skins. Don't see the problem though...

Me neither... I don't understand those people.... I really don't. What do they think ? Maybe, that they will collect some serious money on that ? That's bull... and everyone knows that...
They should do something serious in their life, something that will bring them some serious money and that's for sure not playing with drawing icons. They should have a real work, and this only should be a side activity... just like me. I have my regular job, and I'm so happy with it, I wouldn't change it for anything in the world... but, also... I like to draw and to make web sites, and to compose music... those 3 things are my love and first 2 things I'm doing for me and for avast! users only. I never tried to charge for anything like that... avast! is too good to me, I wanna give something in return. I don't know is it good enough, but at least it's something... I don't care 'cause I can't make money on that... that's why I have my regular job. Of course it would be great to make some extra money sometimes if it's possible, but c'mon people... making money on making some icons, unless you are not some designing company, is nonsense...
Maybe I should start to draw icons and ask for millions of dollars (each), hehe ;D ;D ;D

Yeah,i have mailed him,but no answer yet. I hope my mail was not lost somewhere. I also hope he will allow me to use those icons as buttons on my skin. It would be a shame not to publish MacLoverOS X skin. Not because its mine,but because there was lots of hard work from my and Sashas side.

BTW some of the former Darren's skins also used icons from this site, and that's why I had to remove them.
This is what Darren (in fact our tech support) got from the Foood staff:
As you are now aware you can't just take someone's property, use it & release to the general public. If you had approached me from the start I would probably have given permission. But as you didn't, then I don't give permission for this to be released publicly.

Of course, it wouldn't be so hard to ask if I were Darren, but still...
That's why I like to use my own creations, or some icons created by Alwil... that way I'm sure no one will make any problems, and of course, what's even more important, you don't have to beg those individuals. C'mon people, Darren and no one else never ever tried to make money on that... He could put small icon copyright sign somewhere just like I did on LCARS and Matrix skins though...

Note for RejZor:
My advice: Take out all those icons made by that guy, from your skin. You don't need them anyway. That's best thing you can do right now. I wouldn't want those icons on any of skins I made, just because he is so arrogant. There are many web sites featuring free icons, and believe me you can find much better looking icons (Mac Style) for your skin... If you don't wanna listen to my advice, then I don't know what else to advise you... ;)

But then i'd have to redesign the skin again...
I have sent the mail to this guy before releasing the skin,so he might let me to use the icons (the skin is still idleing in VLKs mailbox :) ). He's lucky that i found he's site,otherwise i would just sent the skin to Alwil. I had these icons on HD for like 3 or 4 years and i didn't have a clue who made them or where i got them from. I found his site when i was looking for some icons and i found those which i used in his collection...
Second day and still no answer...

Hahaha, this one is good... probably you won't get that answer ever RejZor... when he sees it's for avast! skin, he will erase your e-mail as soon as he opens it... read in Vlk's post what he wrote to Alwil (actually, it was intended to go to Darren I guess).

I just have to add some note that i used his icons and i'm ready to go :)
I'll also add some text to the base skin,so i'll resend the MacLoverOS X skin to Vlk when its ready :)
