Title: a bug?

when i have disbled all providers from checking my computer.
(avast 4 home ed on XP pro)
and try to enable them again i get an error message:

                             0x00045101
         the operation could not be completed

avast seems to be operating again as normal however,
so why the error msg?

Hi,
how did you disable them ?

through Avasts user interface, or by disabling startup-entries/services ?

have you rebootet ?

Hi,

Have you done the above operations logged in as "Administrator" ?
Have you tested your Shield with a harmless testfile according to www.eicar.com ?

Does a rerun of the Mail protection wizard help any ?
if the Shields are not working properly, I'd advise a re-install of avast
