Title: UNIDRV.DLL virus?
Post by: 10nico on April 14, 2011, 12:11:04 PM
Hello all, tomorrow morning all our avast 4.8 managed edition started detecting a generic malware in the UNIDRV.DLL of our clients.
Our virus definitions are currently updated with 110414-0 (Apr 14, 2011) from the ADNM mirror.
I tried to force another update of the mirror but there is none.

Every time a client tries to print something , Avast detects the virus in UNIDRV.DLL and removes it, thereby disabling that client's ability to print.
If I try to reinstall the printer's driver avast immediately detects UNIDRV.DLL as a virus and I can't proceed.
If I try to disable Avast realtime protection I can reinstall the driver and the printer works; however, if I re-enable Avast realtime protection , as soon as I print something the antivirus re-detects the "virus" and kills the printer driver again.

I REALLY hope someone will update *SOON* the virus definitions (maybe 110414-1? ) and removes this bug.

Please DO SOMETHING!

Thank you in advance,

Michele

Yep, I see we're not alone!

I'll join that thread.
