I have a laptop with Vista Business. Alureon-G@mbr [Rtk] keeps showing up, and Norton Internet Security 2011 fails to see the Virus. Symantec techs tell me this virus is a false positive, but I do not believe them.
How do I get rid of this virus - my Avast! BART disk cannot repair or delete

You could try the aswMBR.exe - AntiRootkit Scanner

Oops sorry David I have been playing with photobucket to update the screen shots
Download aswMBR.exe (http://public.avast.com/~gmerek/aswMBR.exe) ( 511KB ) to your desktop.
Double click the aswMBR.exe to run it
Click the "Scan" button to start scan

On completion of the scan click save log, save it to your desktop and post in your next reply
