Title: Avast 6, logs.
Post by: anon2011 on April 19, 2011, 12:20:19 AM
Hi everyone,

I'm using avast 6, and i'm wondering where the logs are stored and how to view them. I see that logs are stored, in settings -> maitenance -> auto-cleanup but i don't see how i can view the logs.

Why store logs if you can't view them? (and i do need to view the logs for a particular reason)

So i was wondering if there was a way to view the logs, if possible as googling never turned up anything.

Thanks.

"c:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\log" folder (Vista/Win7)
XP logs are stored under Documents and Settings

It rather depends on what logs they are you want to view ?

Generally you only need to click the Shield log (bottom right) of the respective Shield, avastUI, Real-Time Shields, select the Shield you are interested in.

On-demand scans: avastUI, Scan Computer, Scan Logs.

Plus the method pk mentioned.
