I currently have Avast 6.0.1091 installed on my Windows XP computer but I just did a search to find an Avast log and I was surprised to see that there is no Avast 6 folder or application anywhere on my computer. In my Program Files folder there is an Alwil Software folder with an Avast 5 folder and that's it! Is the Avast 6 exe named something different?

On the machine I'm currently using. XP Pro SP3 (I think there are differences fro XP Home), the logs are at
"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVAST Software\Avast\log"
EDIT: Checked on XP Home, a small difference "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Alwil Software\Avast5\log"
As the others have said, probably because it was upgraded from 5 to 6.

I updated from Avast 5.1.889 to Avast 6.0.1000, and I have the same file locations. This is normal. OTOH, if you do a clean install of Avast 6.xx, you will have the folder structure as Vladimyr stated.

To add to Vladimir´s reply. If you updated from Avast 5 to 6 through automatic update, your Avast folder in Program files will have the Avast 5 folder in it.
Regards.
EDIT: Sorry John, I am a slow typest.

That's what I was wondering - thanks!
