Title: WebRep and Page Display
Post by: cadremis on May 02, 2011, 10:39:31 PM
The first time WebRep came with Avast I installed it with success in Firefox and I have been using it so far.

I had to stop using my Windows 7 PC for 2 weeks because of a problem with a hardware and I started to use my XP SP3 Pc, this is the one that I'm using right now.

I was experiencing a problem displaying the pages and I just found out that If I uninstall WebRep my pages in internet display very quick and they do not freeze when I go page down and up with the mouse, even browsing is faster.

Is anyone having the same experience? any problems related to this?  If I install WebRep the same problem comes again.

No such experience.
But, if you're surfing faster without WR, just leave it uninstalled.

Well the servers have been having issues over the last few days so it may well mean that the display of the icon colourisation might take time or remain grey. Buy I wouldn't have thought that would freeze the page.

I don't see it with FF4 and XP Pro SP3.

However there appears to be another bug when Voting, after clicking the vote button the window doesn't close right away. This is in another topic and I have also reported it.

I don't know if that might be a knock on effect if the servers are having issues, slow, etc. then perhaps the window is only closed once the vote is received and a response sent.

That's the reason. ;)
