The auto-sandbox is flagging the updaters for Flash player. This should not happen.

I don't know how you went about updating, but the autosandbox never made a peep and I have it set to Ask ans nothing in the autosandbox.log file.
I just downloaded the off-line installation file for IE and Other browsers and ran them no problems.

Update:
I downloaded the install_flash_player.exe and install_flash_player_ax.exe files and ran them locally on my XP Pro system.
I copied them to a USB stick and ran them from that on my win7 netbook even though that is also set to Ask and I ran them from a USB (to test after your post) it didn't bat an eyelid but did place two entries in the log

I always go to this page http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ (http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/) and click on the link for the Player Download Center and install it with the Adobe Download manager.

Auto sandbox popped up twice during the install for me as well with the new flashplayer, it's the download manager setting it of as i never used to have a problem with the standalone installer.

Well there is a link on the page url you posted, Player Download Center, that takes you to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and here you can download, the standalone version for the browser you are using at that time. There is also an option to download a Different operating system or browser if you have one.

That is the link i used which uses the download manager unfortunately, file hippo now has the standalone.

yeah i've noticed that before a week.
this is kinda annoying, but there is no problem of getting through that..
- tell avast! to remember to let it run normally.
or.. do what i do.
- remove everything related to NOS (which isn't really neccesery to the system) and download adobe flash player offline (no need for NOS).
then, when it updates after the offline install, there is no NOS on the system.

for Firefox, Opera and other browsers.

for Internet Explorer, and is used by Avast and Secunia PSI for their graphs, etc.

Uninstaller which will remove all versions of Flash for all browsers.
Not a peep out of AutoSandbox which is set to Ask. Installed fine.

No, the Player Download Center does not have any option to download the standalone installer. It only does the download manager procedure when you click on download.(which to me, is perfectly acceptable)
I also do not use Secunia as I see no need for it.
The basic point is that Avast should not be flagging any version of the updating procedure for Flash. This could cause problems with inexperienced users either cancelling the run or running it in the sandbox. Both of which will result in a failure to update the player.

Is Flagging on Flash Player DLM Installer from their web site if you download flash player from Adobe web page!

The Flash player download from the Adobe site used to also have an automatic opt-in for another AV. If you did not un-tick this opt-in, you also downloaded another AV.
I never download from Adobe anymore. I only download the standalone versions.
