Post by: fishb0t on May 19, 2011, 06:50:57 PM
I use avast 6.0.1125 (110518-1) and comodo firewall 5.4

as i scanned my memory avast said that cmdagend.exe is a trojan

memory stack 0x00000000044D0000
block size 2097152
risk high
win32:fakeVimes-b

hopefully not!

You chose to scan memory, which is not part of Avast!'s quick or full scans in part because of this side effect.

This produces false positives with other security products that use signatures and load them into memory.

If you scan memory and something is found, but the path attaches it to another security product that you knowingly host, ignore.

when doing a custom scan and selecting "scan memory" some strange result may happen, the forum are full of these if you search

this is usually detection of another security program`s signatures loaded in memory

i recomend using the default quick/full scan with default settings

have you installed comodo with or without antivirus ?

I think this is already solved in latest virus definitions. Update avast.
