How do i configure avast and thunderbird 0.8 so that avast will scan outgoing and incoming messages. I tried following the instructions in the help file but it does not seem to work. Any help appreciated.
Cheers

Do a little search on " thunderbird" on this board. Many threads already give the answer.

Pop3 (Inbound):
Server name: 127.0.0.1
User name: YourUserName#YourPopServerName
Port: 110
Smtp (Outbound):
Server name: 127.0.0.1
User name: YourUserName#YourSmtpServerName
Port: 25
Note, probably you should run Mail Protection Wizard to have ashMaiSv.exe automatically running at Windows startup.
