Title: will avast 4 SBS work?

I bought avast 4 sbs keys today. I think i bought the wrong one. were running a dell poweredge with windows NT 4 service pack 6 with backoffice sbs software active. Will avast SBS work?

I'm not the "expert" on this, but I am sure that if you indeed bought the wrong version of Avast, Alwil will give you a good deal to correct it ;)

So have a little patience and wait for one of the Alwil people to give a reaction on your question.

Hmm, you didn't try the software on your system before buying it...? :-\

Avast SBS Edition should work on NT4-based SBS BackOffice BUT Exchange scanning will not be available. The minimum version of Exchange supported is Exchange 2000 SP1.

Unfortunately, no I didnt try it first. I have Avast! at home and its great. Our server antivirus expired and my boss was looking for a fast economical solution as norton was becoming expensive. I assumed that SBS would fit our server well. My mistake. Our office only had dial-up internet, so i was waiting till I got home to actually download it.
