For example KAV and NOD and BitDefender are able intercept this as crashing IE exploit ... yet Avast not ...

(this include any IE engine based one , including XP SP2 IE6 SP2 patched with JPEG fix :) ....
can be possible Avast Pro script protection can take care about this (but because this thing can hit casual home users even more it will be nice to see detection for Home version too)?

we are not planning to catch this one. It's just our decision (nothing technical).
In short, the bug is not exploitable - it just crashes IE. IMHO absolutely no need for an AV to catch it.

It's actually a nice quick way to shut down the browser. ;D
