Title: IP Trace Route

Using AIS > Network Utilities option and under Trace Route i type in a UK IP address but then it shows the route is from UK to Spain to France then back to UK. Each one has a different IP address. Can someone explain this to me please? Why would an IP in uk be tracing all over the place?
