Title: avast! Native x64 - maybe avast! 7?
Post by: 12-es_csaj on June 18, 2011, 10:03:39 PM
As I know, nobody asked this question for avast! Version7. If that's not true, I'm sorry for this topic.

Probably not, a lot of work for very little (if any) benefit, as it runs fine on 64bit as a 32bit program as is.  But you never know.... ;)

MSE & AVG have x64 native av.

I'm running MSE on Win 7 64bit.  Works great. :)

It's all a matter of benefits vs extra unnecessary work. In which case there is really little to no benefit of running interface itself and other less system integrated features in native 64bit mode. Scan engine, low level drivers and everything else required to operate fully under 64bit are done in 64bit. So i wouldn't really worry about anything if it's mixed 32bit and 64bit...
