Title: New build 4.5.498 is out
Post by: Vlk on October 28, 2004, 01:26:57 PM
Changes from build 497:

- solved the XML storage problems (hopefully)
- changes to the packer bomb handling
- changes in the updater (please everyone be so kind and test that virus DB updating works (even though there is no VPS update available on the servers at the moment...)
- a new fancy effect in the default Silver skin if you have the translucent effects turned on.

Thanks
Vlk

Updated to 498.

No problems with the iAvs (or anything else sofar)

But I did noticed something else.
Everytime I booted the system, Avast was waiting for ZA (ZoneAlarm) to start before Avast went active.
Now Avast is running before ZA has loaded fully.
Booted 5 times, every time the same.

Looks good to me :D

Except for the 'old' CPU usage, everything ok here (XP SP2)  ;)

Remembering Resident Task Settings now seems to work properly on my Win 98 PC!   :)

(related to the XML fix?)

Good stuff!

I just happened to notice now that the problem with 16 bit applications or operations has returned with this build by chance, if it's of any interest.  :)  (I imagine it was with the previous, too... and simply didn't notice)
