Title: Where does avast store statistics data
Post by: bollity on July 20, 2011, 03:05:43 PM
First I want to ask avast developers why does any user need a yearly log of how many files being scanned?
I want to know where avast store statistics data so that I can delete it or better, disable that thing completely.

They are stored in the internal database, and they cannot be deleted or disabled.
However, they take only very little space.

IS it true that is you uninstall & then re-install, they will get deleted ?

I would guess they aren't specifically deleted, but removed by the uninstall process like the other avast files. Upon reinstallation these stats would effectively be reset when recreated.
