Title: BP - add computers by IP address

How can I add a computer from other subnet and not member of a domain from Administration Console?
When click on "Create new computer" there is just "DNS hostname" field, there is no field to type the IP address...

Hi there,

several options/scenarios here. Unfortunately, adding computer by IP address feature didn't make it into the final feature set for the first release.

I. Are computers that you wish to add in another AD domain?
No: Follow with II.
Yes:
Are the AD domains in the same forest, is there some trust between the domains? Check if you can set up discovery job for the other domain.
Yes: run this discovery job, computers should be found. You should be able to define a special deployment job on the newly found computers.
No: Follow with II.

II.
a) Add the computers manually (host name and DNS name)
b) Run the "email" deployment on each of these.
This should do the trick and computers should be manageable
