Hi! all of sudden.. i can't login anymore! The console answers with connection error and if i retry some times then the console hangs up hard... i even updated to the last version, but no change in behaviour... the error log shows this:
29/10/2004 14.53.46 1099054426 Administrator 2592 Database command failed 00000000: Errore di connessione.
29/10/2004 14.53.48 1099054428 Administrator 2592 Database command failed 00000000: Errore di connessione.
(errore di connessione means connection error... but vlk u understood right? ;) )

Hi, did you update the AMS recently (like yesterday or tomorrow)?

I just updated my AMS yesterday and I can't login in anymore. administrator/admin doesn't work nor does my original password work.

That is true and I know where the problem is.
The passwords are now encrypted in the DB (but your DB contains unencrypted ones). I guess we'll have to do some data transformation code to enable smooth transition...
I'm sorry for this inconvenience -- hopefully a fix will be released soon (I'd say on Monday).
BTW you know, I had to give you a chance to earn some extra points on the forum ;) ;D ;D

Given that info, I deleted my db and recreated it with defaults. I went and checked the users table and the password looks to be encrypted. So I went back and tried administrator/admin with no luck. Has the default password for the administrator account changed?

OK then, I'll have an update released tonight.

OK, there's a new version uploaded on our servers now.
It's got the Administrator password reset to the default value.

Thanks that fixed the password problem. While updating the default scan shield the management console crashed. I'll send you an email with the dump.
