I searched for a topic similar to this and I really couldn't have found it, so instead, I made a seperate thread for this. (If there is a topic like this, please point it out to me :( :( )
Which add-ons you recommend for any browser (like Mozilla, IE, or Chrome or ANYTHING)? :D
My favourites are:
Mozilla Firefox
- AdBlock Plus (something EVERYBODY should have - saved my but off with many nasty ads)
- NoScript (again, something EVERYBODY should have too - saved my butt off with malicious scripts and spyware scripts)
- FoxyProxy - another useful one, especially helpful with stupid redirects and can save you, too
- My Web of Trust/WOT - for extra security, to see if people disliked that site and save you from clicking malicious links - expecially useful in social networks. Also I use this to help the community ^^
- Avast WebRep - if WOT fails, for extra security and to check more info on the website
Google Chrome
- AdBlock for Chrome (Beta) same as above, unfortunetly, it's still being corrected and stuff...
NotScripts Chrome equivalent to NoScript;it's good, but I must say you might get a little put off at the beginning with the strange password set-up.
And of course, the MyWOT and WebRep plugins ^^

I kinda use LastPass....to store my passwords...but then people have different opinions about it, but its my best choice for password management

I've tried many other alternative for PDF reader either browser plugin or stand alone application, but in the end nothing as good as Adobe Reader in my laptop screen. Other reader always have some quirks in it.
One good alternative I've tried which come closest to Adobe is Nitro PDF Reader. Still it has quirks in it especially when viewing PDF consist of picture only which viewed as a book format (2 page side by side at a time).

Try PDF Xchange. It has all of the bells and whistles of the Adobe Reader but is a lot lighter and more secure. The default installation has a lot of things activated that you might want to turn off but that's the only thing I've found wrong with it.
It's very good and has browser plugins that work in all of the major browsers.
For addons (or extensions), I use AdBlock , Chrome YouTube Downloader, Search by Image, and Bookmarks Menu in Chrome.

Adobe reader is just bloatware. Nitro reader wasn't to bad i found it has a nice interface and worked well for me but is still quite large when installed. PDF Xchange viewer is just excellent, it does everything and a bit more for free :)

Have tried it before. It's not question of light in resource or install size and of security. The problem with other PDF reader is when I open/view the same PDF file and compare what I see on my laptop screen between Adobe and other, there's always something different between them (crispness of text, color of picture, the color gamut, etc).

I agree, using Adobe Reader and never gonna switch. Simply because it's the only pdf reader that actually displays every pdf properly. No surprise there since it was Adobe that invented the pdf standard.

I must agree that Adobe Reader- whilst not the safest - is more comfortable and easier to use.

Iv never seen a quality difference in the text myself i think it is very crisp, are you sure you dont need to clean your glasses ;) as for the picture and colour gamut that can all be changed from within the preference settings.

Seem like we have changed track to PDF readers. I gave up on adobe many, many years ago, so I wouldn't notice a difference if it slapped me in the face. In fact I haven't found any inconsistencies/compatibility/inability to display issues of the PDF readers I have used since.
I used PDF Lite for a long time until they changed their policy and added the Ask toolbar, etc. I had no problems with that with xp pro/win7 and it worked on my 10.1" netbook. The same is true of my existing PDF reader, PDF Xchange, just the PDF Viewer.

Surely you mean Adblock Plus Beta for Chrome ?
AdBlock is from another developer and btw it is much better than ABP(on Chrome). Try it:

EDIT: It is completely compatible with the ABP list formats, all you need to do is navigate to this page and click on subscribe on the lists you wish to use. http://adblockplus.org/en/subscriptions

recommend quick drag... It will just make life easier. if you see a link in a post that is not click-able, just highlight the link and drag it, then it will open for you. if you see something that you want to search in somebody's post, instead of copy-paste, just highlight the words and drag it.

I use AdBlock in Chrome, not AdBlock plus. It also seems that now the Chrome You Tube Downloader no longer works , or even exists. That's not good. >:(

No, the main developer for ABP is Vladimir Palant and he lives in Germany. The main dev for AdBlock is Michael Gundlach and he lives in Georgia in the US. Both extensions use the EasyList filter list (as well as several others) and those are maintained by independent users.
Can I import my filters from Adblock Plus for Firefox?
Yes, you can. Select the rules in ABP in FF, press Ctrl-C, go to AdBlock options, Customize tab, click Edit, and paste them in that text box.
