Title: Outlook 2010 plug-in, SPAM toolbar
Post by: 1tb on August 01, 2011, 04:57:35 PM
I've successfully installed the new managedclient on 3 XP Pro pcs, and noticed the new SPAM toolbar installed. However on our Win 7 Pro x64 with Office 2010, we don't see any plug-in, or toolbar. Also don't see the com add-in in Outlook options.
I've uninstalled/reinstalled without success.

Any ideas how to get this Outlook plug-in installed in this scenario?

any plans for it?
the desktops that get sold nowadays are more and more delivered with 4GB of memory which ideally would mean a x64 OS on it.
The laptops i purchased at my job came standard installed with x64, just to give an example :)

Just reinstalled 32 bit version of Office 2010 as the licence allows this and the avast plugin and toolbar returns! As far as I can tell there is not much to gain from 64 bit Office yet in any case as there are just too many 32 bit plug-ins (like avast!) :)

@wpn- this has nothing to do with the OS- Win 7 64 bit (which I am running fine)- just Office 2010 64 bit.

@1tb   not completely true

but im talking a migration to 64bit in general.
The x32 office version runs fine on the x64 OS version but that is because of a translation.
Im simply stating that 64bit is becoming more standard and with everything bein preinstalled with the most users that use avast its wise to have a 64bit plugin too
