Title: password protected files

I wanted to know what I should do with some files that were password protected. I can't scan them and I don't know what to do with them. How am i suppose to know if the files are safe if I can't scan them.
I would appreciate any suggestions.

if you post the full filename and location we may be able to tell you what they are!
