Title: Avast scans automatically but I haven't scheduled any scans
Post by: jsok123 on August 07, 2011, 10:49:16 PM
Avast scans automatically but I haven't scheduled any scans. I checked all the scheduled scan settings and none are set to scan. I don't know whats going on. I auto scans at 4:00 during a time that REALLY slows down my system when I really need it. Help?

There are no default actions in avast to start a scan or any other function at a specific time.

What do you mean by it scans automatically, e.g. what are you looking at to indicates that it is scanning ?

If it is the avast icon rotating, that is the resident on-access (not on-demand) file system shield scanning other activity.

Anything in the scanning logs that is showing the scanning?
Like David said, avast does not scan on demand automatically...
