Post by: BobFam on August 13, 2011, 12:32:45 AM
Does the freeware version stop spyware and Trojans? Will it work OK with SeaMonkey browser? Thanks, Bob.

Yes the free version of avast also has anti-spyware.

Avast works with most popular/known browsers, though I don't know if Seamonky is directly supported. Just try it and see, if not there are ways to force avast to include it.

Hi. Thanks. It seems to work with SeaMonkey. I have not had any problems yet. How can I tell if works? How can I force it to work with SeaMonkey so I am sure it will work? Thanks, Bob.

Check the avastUI, Real-Time Shields, Web Shield, details. You will the graph moving when there is activity and the Pages scanned/infected: count will be updated as pages are scanned, as will the Last page scanned, etc.

I don't see SeaMonkey as a usable browser. How can I force it's use? Thanks, Bob.
