You should ask questions in your own topic and not someone elses, betas aren't recomended for newbie's but you can get it in the beta section or use search at the top of the page.

Does someone care to take a look at this thing?

Especially this script:
Code: [Select]
http://in.bookmyshow.com/CodeEx/buytickets.js?12

is being scanned continuously. One can observe this behavior on this page, for example:

Code: [Select]
http://in.bookmyshow.com/buytickets/?srid=BANG&eid=ET00007117&cid=&did=20110830&ety=MT

Looking at the name, and the page, after allowing via NS it looks like it may be related to the changing content right at the top.

Buytickets.js and it that is the only thing that I see that is talking about buying tickets...

Seems that the latest beta[6.0.1279] has fixed it. Possibly because of:(in bold)

Quote
And new in build 6.0.1279:
- Solved a compatibility problem with QQ
- Solved a compatibility problem with certain Steam-based games
- Script Shield: Implemented a scanning cache which should prevent redundant/repetitive scans
- Script Shield: Implemented scan exclusion settings
- Script Shield: Now works with Firefox 7/8/9 betas
- Web Shield: scanning of all processes can now be disabled in shield's Expert Settings
- Cosmetic changes in the UI

Thank you for the insight SPG.

And thank you for the update avast!

This has made a huge difference from being a constant stream, in the thousands of scripts scanned in a few hours browsing, now showing only 259 scripts scanned in the last 2 hours or so.

Yes sir, indeed a very nice improvement. Avast has gotten more light on resources now :)

Even when it was scanning like a banshee, I never noticed any resource issues.

On mine, the CPU usage was a bit higher than normal.
