I think the filehippo has got JDK as well as JRE for Developers.
I would only download from the Java site updating the basic java, when available…

Check java       http://java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp

The version listed at File Hippo is not a stable or official release and is known to have "issues" ( do read the Comments at FileHippo on that download page)

The latest official release is the one listed at Oracle.

Filehippo should not be displaying this download without a warning.
Like I said it’s for developers & when ready you will be able to get a slim down version.
People who are downloading from Filehippo may still have the Java TM 6 update 27 installed this is where most will get conflicts.

The new releases of Java are first made available on the Oracle Technology Network (OTN) website, and a week later is made available on the Java.com website.

The new release of Java contains several bug fixes and enhancements. We, at Oracle, intend to give earlier access of this new release to the developer community to ensure no major problems are seen with the release. After a week if the new release is working as intended, we then make this release available to a wider audience at java.com.

There are distinct advantages for downloading Java from the java.com or Oracle Technology Network (OTN) websites. The latest and official releases of Java are made available to developers and users only through the java.com and the OTN websites.

Unless authorized to do so, third party hosting websites cannot host Java software and make it available to the users for download.

The Java downloads that are available at other hosting websites may not contain current bug fixes and security fixes. Downloading such versions of Java makes your system more vulnerable to virus intrusion and other malicious activities.

To ensure the latest, official versions of Java software, downloads from the official websites (java.com and OTN) are highly recommended.
