As Anas said this has nothing to do with avast, so should have  been in the General or Off-topic forums.

Ensure that you have the latest update of S&D which should I believe get rid of the problem, otherwise ignore or exclude the DSO exploit warning.

You can also restore False Positives that you fixed/deleted within S&D

In order for the fix to work,  you must be running version 1.3 of Spybot....  then download and install the fix.      It'll get rid of the DSO Exploit problem.

Okay, i am wondering why avast doesnt report the exploit and then deletes
it.

I thougth i am running avast and i am protected for all of thes dammed
virus/trojan/worm/exploits.

It seems that avast does not protect my system at all.

Avast didn't detect it because it wasn't real!  It was a FALSE positive in Spybot.  How do you figure avast doesn't protect your system if there was NOTHING there to detect in the first place?

Hi,

every 3. time i reboot my system the homepage in IE is set to
a wrong value.

I thougt the exploit is resonsible for that.

No, this is a browser hijack and programs like these will help get rid of the problem.

1. Ad-Aware (http://www.lavasoft.de/support/download)
2. Download HijackThis.zip (http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip)

AdAware

Spybot S&D

Are both good programs for getting rid of spyware and hijackers.  You just need to make sure they are both updated regularly.  And remember, Avast is an Antivirus program not necessarily a spyware scanner.  It does detect some of those types of things, but it really is for viruses.

Hi,

i detected an ugly programm (180solution) in the registry with
hijackthis.

I hope this was the cause of the changing homepage setting.

Thanx for the very good support in this forum.
