Title: Central logging
Post by: artsusa on November 10, 2004, 10:31:41 PM
I recently purchased licenses for 100 avast! professional (currently only using 60) and 1 avast! server edition & exchange plugin.

I would like to know if it is possible to set logging for all workstations to be in one central location on the server?  Would the easiest way be to create a silent installation from a machine or server and have the logs set to that folder? or do I have to set it individually for each workstation?

Hi artusa,
given the size of your license I think your best bet would be to take advantage of the upcoming "ADNM" http://www.avast.com/eng/adnm.html .
It will be released real soon (probably even this week).

With ADNM, all events are streamlined to a central location. Also, all updates are downloaded from local mirrors and you have a number of other advantages.

Please stay tuned.

PS. You may also want to have a look at the ADNM documentation http://files.avast.com/files/beta/adnmqs.pdf

PS2. ADNM is completely free for owners of a valid avast license (such as yourself).

Thanks
Vlk
