I have two paid Hotmail accounts which I use often. Will avast On-Access Protection scan Hotmail accounts within Outlook Express or Outlook? If not is there any work around? I did seee I was able to configure for Hotmail the email clients under On-Access Protection Control.
Appreciate your insights.

doesn't matter where the files come from, as soon as a file comes to your system from web, floppy, cd, dvd, network etc. Avast can scan it with the on-access scanner. If a file is scanned depends ofcourse on the exact settings in Avast.

I think that on version 4.5 you will be able to get Hotmail accounts into the Internet Mail provider. Although, I'm not sure as Hotmail is not a pop3/smtp server email :-\

Why are all making big deal with web based email services?
Hotmail uses McAfee scanner for its attachements, and files that are not scanned with McAfee are scanned with avast!'s Standard Shield.
