Title: Why do we have to register for Avast Free?

Why must we register to activate the free license for Avast Free?

Are there any plans to make this automated in future releases, without needing to enter email details?

This was asked a lot of times (i.e., the automation).
They want to keep it as it is.

It also gives avast an idea of how many people are using there antivirus.

Yes make It like a lots of freeware antiviruses has. Good idea. But when avast! want to keep it as it is then you can't do anything with that. We can be happy that It's not that complicated like It was in Avast 4
