After a crash yesterday, I had to reformat & reinstall my OS and all programs. I d/l v4.5 and registered it. I received a new license/regis. key. But when I try to update my virus db, I get an expired license key message even tho the expira. date shown is 2006. I have checked everything as specified in the FAQs but the problem exists. For info: it always stops at the jollyroger.vps update file. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Did you try rebooting the machine after inserting the new key?
Is your system clock set correctly (especially the "year" value)?
Thanks

The first thing I did was check my system clock and date settings. And yes, I rebooted. I have tried several times to insert the number but always get the same result. I even tried re-registering but received the same registration #. Any suggestions appreciated.

Receive the same registration number is ok as you used the same email...
Did you use the copy&paste method to add the number?
Did you take care of do not add the 'last black space' while copying...?

I used both the copy & paste method and when that didn't work, I manually inserted the number. I still get the invalid license key message and yet it says the key expired in 2006 but shows the correct current date/year (2004). Is anyone else having this problem that you know of?

Please send me the key (via email or IM). I'll check its validity.
Thanks Vlk.
