The Mayan calendar deal is a myth. It doesn't say that the world will end on that date. It simply shows that a celestial cycle will end on that date and then start over again. Why do you think the tablet containing it is circular like the face of a clock?
The only mystery is how were they able to track and predict the progress of the cycle with such astonishing accuracy without any astronomical instruments.
The world will someday "end" (not completely but made over as described in the Bible)but the Bible also says that no man will know the date and time so anyone who says he does is simply a false prophet.

I believe today is 10/21/2011 and I guess his idiotic prediction can be added to those of the others who predict doom and gloom and thankfully never get it right.
Why not leave these predictions to GOD, the only one who actually knows when these things will actually happen.
(There are many names for GOD I guess it depends on your own belief what you call him or it.)
Until that day happens and it eventually will for each of us at his choosing, enjoy life and do something useful with your life.

i'm beginning to suspect that people are taking this antarctica business seriously; the only reason i chose antarctica as country is because the system wouldnt let me place a signature etc. while leaving country field empty;antarctica was the 1 that stood out the most from the entire list,so i picked it,knowing that most people wouldnt take it seriously.

Well being that you keep refering to Antarctica in your posts so what do you expect people to believe, the forum does work on an element of trust you know and so far you haven't painted yourself a very good portrait.

if you read my posts carefully,you would come to a different conclusion craig.
i have referred to antarctica in some posts or south pole,but in a humorous/sarcastic way i.e since it should be obvious that almost no 1 lives in antarctica,and i try to always place a smiley (to indicate humor) or saying "lol" etc.
check my posts and you'll see what i'm saying.
note: i will probably continue making referrals to antarctica,but still in a humorous/sarcastic way,not serious or deceptive.

There is room for jokes here. Trust me, I toe that line (and step over it) more than most here.
But just be aware.....if you try to not be taken seriously, you might soon get what you desire, but then find yourself questioning if this is what you really wanted ;D

Relax Asyn..........Harold Camping is not a weapon of mass instruction, he's just an old lying little wood pecker, and I would place a shotgun barrel for his little wood pecker glory hole ;) and pull the trigger and he will disappear on earth ;D
