Title: Malicious URL Blocked
Post by: MimoriKiryu on October 21, 2011, 03:02:19 AM
Hello,

I'd like to ask for any help. My computer using Avast, the free one, (using Windows 7.0), has started to pop up the Malicious URL Blocked red box every time we load a new page on the internet no matter if I'm refreshing a page or clicking a picture or link. This is what it says:

http://i55.tinypic.com/nx6zww.png

And then when you click the box it says:

http://i55.tinypic.com/295fo9h.png

And the Process is blocking on my computer: C:\Users\Amanda\AppData\Local\Google\Application\chrome.exe

The object is: http://trail.dealply.com/dealdo/event-report?type=heart_bitpartner=ironchannel=irondcm&uid=908847211919872787&cb=111_9_20&suspended=false

If you need any more information, please post. Thank you.

Hi,

Note that Firefox (or any other browser) is a reader, so is very unlikely that only by surfing the Web you got any kind of Virus. You need to have installed something on Firefox to get that kind of report.

The only place in Firefox where you install things is through ADD-ONs, where in this case is the DealPly (dealply.com) Add-on that is messing around. Uninstall it from Firefox and you get the problem solved.  ;D
