Hi,
what Win do you have ?
Is you Avast uptodate ?
Where exactly was the Trojan found (Full pathname, filename + file extension) ?

-Try using OnlineScanners , e.g. from Trendonline, Kaspersky, RAVAntivirus to get a more specific detection/Name, and then look up the Virus Info/Removal Instructions in their respective databases..

- you might also want to read the Board topics on Blaster/Lovsan worm; could be that one, too ;)

The blaster worm is reported as win32.blaster(AFAIK).
But you may try to identify the files, because give adviceto a generic detec ted file is not easy. Try the Kaspersky link: http://www.kaspersky.com/remoteviruschk.html

Use this link to identify the file, because it is difficlt to give helpful advice  without a Virusname.  http://www.kaspersky.com/remoteviruschk.html

Yep, I get it as well (Trojan-gen [VC]).

Probably a false alarm, for me it was detected in the temporary (.exe) file created when selecting the "DOWNLOAD stony road..." option on the page:

http://stonyroad.dyndns.org/

(hope this helps!)

In any case, had to reboot and in the bootscan the file was deleted successfully.

BR /B.

Some additional info:

I'm on 0308-4 (02.09.2003) and build 4.0.235. Got the warning about an hour ago when downloading the file using the above version.
