Title: Missing Right Click TO Scan with Avast! - Windows Explorer
Post by: rick98382 on November 17, 2004, 12:10:02 AM
After the upgrade to Avast! Home Version 4.5.523, I no longer have the option to Scan a file or file folder when right clicking on a folder or file in Windows Explorer.  The option is now missing.

I my OS is Windows 2000 Professional.  Is there a way to get that option back into the Windows Explorer menu?

Thanks.  :)

Have you already tried a repair of Avast?

No, Eddy, I didn't try a repair...  reinstalled instead. I had saved my original ini file and just copied it  into the data folder after I reinstalled. All is well again.. thanks.

ShellExtensionIcon=1 shows the icon next to the avast item in the Explorer context menu. The value 0 hides it.  ;)
See details on 'Settings' in my signature  ;)
