Title: GMail Doc Upload
Post by: oli4uk on November 23, 2011, 01:14:05 AM
Hey, I am getting an error with GMail.

When I try to upload a file (Specifically .doc is all I have tested) at the moment. It only happens when I use the current upload system, when I use the  'old uploader' it works fine.

The error message says that the firewall/anti virus may be blocking the upload.

Is this a known issue, is there a solution?

Thanks!

Oli

Welcome to the forums oli4uk,

Are you using GMail on the web? If so, does this problem also happen in other browsers?

avast free is an antivirus only and does not block anything, just scan. Even less, uploaded files.
Which is your firewall?
Is the file being used by MS Word, i.e., is the file closed or open in MS Word?

Hi oli4uk,

If you are using Internet Explorer. Please try after doing Windows update.

Because GMail has updated, so your browser will need new plug-ins for using updated GMail.

So please try to update your browser as well.

Thanks
