So, aswndis Company's name should be corrected from the old Alwil to the current "Avast".

Or are you implying that the it shouldn't be there at all?

You "could" run TWICE the removal utility for Avast (http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility)) from Windows Safe Mode. The first time for Avast 6. Then reboot again into Safe Mode and run it again for Avast 5.

The reinstall the latest stable Avast (in Normal Mode), reboot and reconfigure it again.

If you don't see any final consequences or practical problems, you could just leave it for now.

Yes, both network drivers are installed and used by avast. The first driver (aswNdis.sys) is still signed our older company's name, but it's quite time-consuming to change driver's company so we left as it was (we'd need to sign this driver in Microsoft, and it would take several days for preparation+testing).

Thanks for prompt reply.
If both drivers are necessary for Avast6, then it is OK and I have no problem.

My concern is that if both drivers do the same job (filter), then I should remove the old driver from my system. Otherwise, both drivers might interfere with one another.

No, there are no duplicated code in both drivers (you can check their filesize - they're totally different).
