Title: my avast does a full system scan at 4am every day. can i modify? avast free 6.x
Post by: unosimpson on December 05, 2011, 06:15:32 PM
version 6.0.1367

it starts at 4 am which is a bad time, because it doesn't finish until 11am. i would like to change it to midnight.

but on the panel, the settings button is actually not even there beside the full system scan. it's strange because i have the same version installed on another computer and the settings button is visible. on that other computer i can schedule the full system scan whenever i want.

avast > Scannings > Choose each scan > Settings > Scheduling :)

If your settings button has disappeared then try a repair of avast via remove programs, click avast then click uninstall- scroll down to repair and ok, reboot after running.
