Title: Avast not so good on recent removal test
Post by: dagrev on December 15, 2011, 09:37:44 PM
I saw this and thought I'd post the link to the results of virus removal test from AV-comparatives.  Some will see that in finding nasty things our beloved avast! is not doing so well--others will complain this somehow means little or nothing.  Before being mad at me, remember I'm one of those who is actually paying to use avast.

As I've said in other posts, tests are not everything--but they do say something when coming from good sources, which this one is.  Vlk has confirmed that avast needs to step it up and I hope the new version 7 gets avast! back up where they need to be.

I know catching things beforehand is important, but avast hasn't been doing so good there either in recent months (as admitted by avast).

My apologies for the duplicate.  I even searched and didn't turn up anything for some reason.
