Title: Windows 7 Does not Recognize Avast Firewall

I currently am running Avast Pro and decided to try out the Internet Suite. After installation I turned off Windows Firewall, and the action center immediately told me to turn it on. I tested Avast firewall without activating Windows Firewall and everything showed stealth no problem,however Windows does not recognize Avast Firewall as being on?? How do you correct this issue?

have you tried a restart ?

You can leave the W7 FW on, it works with the avast! FW.

Hi Asyn
   First of all I did a reboot, no good windows still did not recognize Avast Firewall. And yes you are correct I have tried it with Windows firewall on and no problem,so in essence that would not really be a problem as Avast Firewall has additional features which I like. Thanks for the advice.  :)

Not sure, if this will help, but you can try...

Repair avast!:
1. Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs -> avast!
2. Scroll down and click on 'Repair'.
3. Follow instructions.
4. Reboot.

I suggest an installation From scratch and boot twice.
